2010 ????

So what birds are people hoping for in 2010 then ?

Personally, a nice Caspian Tern whizzing around Cardiff Bay would do very nicely indeed, although I would be more than happy to see one anywhere in South Wales. More realistically, perhaps a long staying Smew or Red-necked Grebe, it's been many years since I have seen either of that pair locally.

The holy grail of Glamorgan birding,an American passerine would do very nicely indeed, as long as it is found to the East of Glamorgan,at Lavernock say,but like Alex being more realistic I would like barred warbler, its been an age since I last clasped eyes on one.

If it does have to be in the west at least let's hope it's not another cage bird. Does 'One Man and his Blog' have any shots of the most recent 'Sylvester' posted yet?

If this freeze continues then we may get:
1. Arctic Redpoll
2. Two-barred Crossbill
3. Harlequin Duck
4. White-billed Diver
5. Lesser White-fronted Goose
6. Red-breasted Goose
To name but 6!
