I have been around that area for the past few weeks and I haven't seen any little owls at their usual haunts. Have they moved?
Jake, you might want to try around Pen-pill derelict opposite Newlands, there is a good chance of getting one early perched on the fence surrounding the property. Not had one around the Maerdy area for a few weeks.Got there about 6.15am today hoping for Barn Owl aswell and flushed a Buzzard at the entrance.Short-eared down RGW.
I'm still living in hope of Long-eared,had a good scan over Neal's land. One day they might come back.
