Good old BHG, much easier to photograph than bloody marsh terns !
Ranging widely around the reservoir, but rarely close. Most of time either sat on a distant buoy or feeding somewhere in the middle. Late news from yesterday. Tree Sparrow Nell's Point, Barry per JPH.

I stayed until 6.50 after, walked the res again (sucker!),it didn't come any closer.
The Tree Sparrow record for Nell's Point is the first sighting of this species in Eastern Glamorgan this year.
RGS informs me that they didn't breed at their usual site in the VofG this year. In fact they haven't even been seen there. Tree Sparrow is probably now extinct as a breeding species in Eastern Glamorgan. The GRC are monitoring this species as a possibly description species for future years.
Nice shots Alex, just a shame the damn thing wouldn't come in any closer.
