Scuttly little things
These were also on the beach at Aberavon scuttling about in the shallow bit of the sea, think they may be a wader.
Cheers Paul,I do love a smartarse !! I've always thought that shorebirds was just an Americanism for waders. They call um "shorebirds" and we call um "waders". Having said that there must have been 100+ Sanderling strung along the beach on the incoming tide plus good numbers of gulls so worth keeping an eye on in case something "different" turns up. The Sanderling were quite approachable so I'll probably go back over there and try and get some better photos, sorry I mean "images".
