A juv in early moult to winter plummage was present on the grassy sand/dune bar behind the petrol station. Very tired bird and is different to the bird photographed on thurs & fri by "Jeremy" at West Cross Inn about 800yds further west. Flushing catergory "3" on the newly formed "Hnatiuk index"

2= 1-5 yds (Lapland Bunting)
3= 6-10 yds ( Bolloxed Turtle Dove)
4= 11-20 yds (Snow Bunting)
5= 21-50 yds (Lapwing)
6= 51-100 yds (wader flock unless approaching by sea)
7= 101-200 yds (Snowy Owl)
8= 201-500 yds (Gyr Falcon)
9= 500+ yds (A little brown dot)
10= What the F**k was that (quite a few I couldn't possibly mention)
