Paviland Lapland Buntings
At least 17 present midday in stubble fields near south Gower coastal path - you can see them well when they fly and they're calling constantly. Also very briefly a Wood Lark on the ground but I didn't hear it call when it flew off. The field is a 2km walk from Pilton Green following the footpath south to the coast. Turn east and walk until you come to the 2nd stubble field with the gate (I placed a pale stone on each gate post), that's the field with the birds in. HOWEVER - farmer get-off-my-land-now - is about and he's not for turning. So if you see a bloke driving a 4 wheel red buggy with a brown sheep dog (much friendlier than its owner) you'll have to leg it. Or you can stay at the gate and scope.
