Christmas Day Sightings

Firstly, watch out, Graham is back in town and is up and running already with his Smew - great find. In addition to the ducks below there was also a male Pintail sat on the ice in the pretty much frozen bay.

Lamby Lake - CC Reen & back round the tip - Green Sandpiper 1, Snipe 3, Wigeon 6, Gadwall 12, Dunlin 800+, Grey Plover 9 also lots of duck on sea but looking straight into sun and light crap, Pintail, Wigeon, Teal, Tufted Duck etc. Buzzard 2, Peregrine 1. Also the odd sight of a Lapwing stood on the ice at Lamby Lake.

Why is no-one else finding these birds?

What you on about Clive?! Recent amazing finds include RLB, Baltic, not forgetting the earlier in the year double Bobo, Marsh wobble & Cory's... what more do you want from a county?!

Suppose the bay is about the only unfrozen water in the area. Did not go away for Xmas this year in view of weather and rewarded by a Woodcock flying over house. Also 2 Buzzards displaying in a temp. of
-5. Have seen Smew on Lisvane and RPL in the past but when are we going to get a Drake ?
