Cheers boys. The new name sounds like a dose Delhi-belly, excellent description though. One photo = 1000 words as they say.
The big camera lads down here want to know what lens was used so that they can buy one asap!

Hot of the press from Colin here's the full story.
I was wandering around on top of the hill, which is what I like to do like, that's when I'm not surveying the Scottish high tops for waders. Have I mentioned that before? All of a sudden like, I came across these two birds flat out, giggling like, well like two snow bunting.
"What's so funny?" Colin asked ," read this" said the male (the one on the right in phot, larger bill is diagnostic).
The piece of paper was no less than the EGRC rejection slip for Twite and Snow bunting on Mynydd Llangeinwr.
Hopefully, the fact that Colin has forwarded such a fine photograph this time around will get him a cherished Accept certificate from the aforementioned Politburu( now, now Colin.)
Colin has also asked that you all(each and every committee member) accept his bottle of sloe gin to drink as you deliberate on this matter.

The big camera lens boys want to learn to use the ones they got before we can let them loose with such a potent piece of optical kit

The GRC only drink the finest Champagne and it is half price at Tescos. That's a big shop by the way, usually called a supermarket. As for a "cherished accept certificate", like FIFA officials, the GRC only accept large bundles of cash [no beaver pelts please] or the odd very large diamond Rolex [that's a watch...tic-toc with shiny stones] to go with all your birdie descriptions.

Andromada it's these type of hard hitting comments that made him afraid to post the phot himself.
I knows that my id skills are all to pot but I really thought that he'd got it right this time.
Tony maybe you should get out and about up Nantyfuckalong and record some birds as they got a very poor return for the BTO Atlas so far.
The CR said he's happy with it so that's the main thing

Badger they were there when you went up but as it had snowed they were well blending in with the backround and you walked right past them, I saw one of your boot marks it was less than an inch from the bird;-)

Misty, i'm pretty sure i heard them go over not more than 10 mins ago.

Clive, if you managed to get a recording ,and you are 110 percent sure you can forward it to the CR.
It can only add weight to this stunningly clear photograph in an all out campaign to get that certificate in the post, in a frame and on my wall all before Xmas too if possible.
Colin thanks you for your support with this

misty i thought i kicked something perhaps i kicked the bird and it went tumbling in the snow and that's what they look now in the photo i've seen a beak like that before somewhere.

Badger I went up there today and they are still there but in a bad way.
It looks as if the male has melted half a wing and a large sectio of his breast has gone.
The female has melted most of her tail and has only half a head left , so anyone wanting to see them had better get their skates on.
As for the beak it does look kind of familiar
