Duh, you just don't get it do you? If you guess one of each, you get points for both the string and the correct identification of the 'species' in your Fantasy String Team. See the all new 'String of the Month' feature in the side menu. Other top tips are to go looking for redpoll species or simply apply the UK400 club splitting guidelines to your listing for treble and qaudruple points in your fantasy league team. This is the way forward for bird spotting into the millenia and beyond (and available at all good retail outlets this Christmas).
Oooops. Sorry Randal. How about, 1 is a Bewick's (Tundra), one a Whooper and the other a Trumpeter. Will this do? Also I had a funny raptor over the house this am - just after Slaphead woke me up with news of his funny raptor over Treforest - I could have sworn it was a Swallow-tailed Kite, swooping down on a Naumann's Thrush, which was flying low over the houses. I saw all this whilst in my car. I haven't had any wacky-backy or strange Xmas drinks YET! All the breast and legs, CR
it WAS a swallow tailed kite,I've seen lots of them abroad, furthermore,I am no stringer,I DID NOT claim Naumann's,it was a spring male eyebrowed-this is not a wind up,oh and 5 fly over twite aswell as brief views, from a passing space shuttle of the spoon billed sand in Bute park arboretum .
