A quick trip around Forest Ganol and environs with Slapper and Jack 'One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest'Nicholson aka The Lancadle Split-arse, failed to find the 'reported' Lesser Pecker seen earlier in the week by Cardiff's No.1 Helen Keller impersonator,CR himself. In fact we failed dismally to find anything more exciting than some shit stained rocks. Should have invited Clive along and then at least we'd have seen an ivory-billed woodpecker or if we were really lucky a slender-billed curlew. There's always next time!
