Sparrowhawk
On my garden fence this morning, yesterday seen devouring a Reed Bunting.
excellent shot Paul, hoping one day to emulate this in our garden, usual occurs when I m not there & the feathers of some poor bird are the only evidence !
Great shot Paul,like Cliff I'd really like to get a similar shot one day. Have had one perched on our back fence before Xmas as I walked around the side of our house but it made a quick getaway before I could get to my camera,such is life !!
Thanks, I got the shot by going into next door's driveway, where the bird was visible through a narrow gap between their shed and house. Usual excuses about bad light.
That's a stonker of a shot. PS if the neighbour finds out 'you've shot in the next door's driveway' you can at least be safe in the knowledge that trespass is only a civil offence and not a criminal one.

nice shot but please tell me why that isn't a Honey Buzzard, ideal habitat, probably looking in through the kitchen window for some Honey on toast
