Sluice Farm & RGW

Lapland Bunting this morning in flight only. Walking towards Cardiff with Roger Price when we Flushed some Meadow Pipits and Reed Buntings from long grass. With them was a Lapland Bunting, not seen on the ground. It called and flew back over us east and towards the sea wall but we were unable to re-locate it. There was also a Black Redstart and 2 Water Pipits around the pool east of the blockhouse and 4 Swallows flew over.

Maurice, you're on top of the list and gunning for the title of Cardiff Birder of the Year.
That by my reckoning means only you and me have Lap Bunt on our Cardiff list!

Thanks Randal but you are still unique. This bird was in Gwent !
