At least 6 S E Owls present at the R G W this afternoon.


I really could have done with a Prime lens.

I only saw 3 in view at any one time though thought there were 4 as one passed me heading up towards the Sluice Farm saltmarsh. Hey, good shots Mitch...you might get an offer from Tranny Weekly!

Hope they stick around.I was preoccupied watching a pair up in the air together that i hadn't noticed 3 more on the ground close by which flew up as soon as i moved forward,with another down by the Black pipe.Superb!

Yeh,really hope they stick around,with the huge influx it could be a really good winter for them,we'll all be lining the wharf with our big lenses on weekends.
We all overdosed earlier in the year with Little Owls,looks like we could be doing the same thing with Short eared !!
