Out and About

Cosmeston - Pretty quiet on the small bird front. However, birds over included Crossbill, Chaffinch, Skylark, Wood Pigeon, Redwing, Fieldfare. The small number of Tufted Ducks were joined by a male Shoveler, and apparently Bittern has been seen this week in the West Lake Reedbed.

Rumney Great Wharf - A wander along the wharf from Sluice Farm at low tide produced 4 Short-eared Owls. Waders included Bar-tailed Godwit and Grey Plover.

Cardiff Bay - Peregrine hotly pursued by a Herring Gull.
