Iceland Gulls - Oxwich

In an effort to divert attention from 'tits' in Nelson Bog, thought I'd query how many Iceland Gulls are considered to be roaming around Oxwich Bay? So far I have seen images of at least 3 separate individuals: juv/1st-w, 2nd-w and probable 3rd-w. Guess this could be the best winter for the species in Glamorgan since 1983/84 (?)

would like to get down there but I think tide is right out in the daylight hours now, how important would that be ?

Depends how close you want to see the sea? If you wait 6 hours it'll come back up, you just have to be patient.

Shitloads of white-wingers about at the mo, so its only fair we get our share - I think I read somewhere that shetland had 53 birds reported through the island network. All I want is one at cozi, that sticks around long enough for me to finish me tea & toast.

In the Faeroes yesterday (13th) there were 664 Iceland Gulls. Since the 1st they have also found 47 Kumliens Gulls.
