A prolonged period of Gull watching produced 2 Ad Yellow-legged Gulls & 2cy Iceland Gull in field next to tip late morning. This afternoon Iceland Gull was on roof top opposite Lidl.

How can grown men get so excited about a supermarket and a load of beer ? Please someone find a bloody rarity for us to watch.

Ps Randal what day and time are you going to look for the Yellowthroat and where will you be parking your truck ?

Meehan said...

Wader - no way would have parted with £3 to park.., thats why i sent you to the ''cheap Lidl seats'' ya tight git! Anyway, I heard you spent the day disguised as a ''big pussy'', just so you could get close to the bird. ;0)
Well done.

PS - The case of cheap euro beer has now doubled - you owe me! Otherwise Smudger starts to get all the inside-info from now on!

....and I opened this thread anticipating an informed debate on the Dowlais gulls!

..I was thinking about simply driving into the field and chasing it around via the joys of 4x4 power...as for gull debates, it was one....now get over it RR (you're not the only one to have earned the the two letter epithet, although I have heard TM2 is now in common parlance).

Called in for RSPB coffee this am after seeing the Boy but cakes cost more than Dutch Lager.

Slaphead said...

The price of the cakes has, allegedly, risen considerably since one 'dogger' took the helm.Rumour has it that he has applied for a new passport for Gwentshire, but the CR has advised that they don't want him given his reputation for 'spoiling' the (old) ladies. Is it true Dogger?,have you been doing a currant bun with Lady Ponsenby? a fruit flan with Major Snodgrass?

Randal M Snowdrop said...

I hear dogger is more into gulling these days?

Slaphead said...

splatt

Meehan said...

Thats right chaps - they have refused my back-door entry based on the grounds that I have price-hiked the cakes in work.
However, this is now under review after my display of excellent liaisement to ensure that the throat-fest was a roaring success!

Yep, top notch direction pointing Matt, I hear Lord Coe want you on the gates at London Olympics, he's even prepared to overlook the gulling blots on your copybook!
