Don't forget I'll be on board adding some much needed expertise to the proceedings ie. curbing the stringy tendencies of the South Walian contingent.

The ferry arrives back into Plymouth at 16:30, the first train leaves Plymouth at 17:23. If you want to wait until 18:44, wasting money in the pub waiting for this train, the fare drops to £11.50 and the whole journey cost will fall to just over £20. However, the 18:44 takes another hour in duration and doesn't get into Cardiff until 23:00hrs.

However, we have another option.....that's if people would prefer travel straight to and from both ferry terminals. Leaving Plymouth as soon as we dock and arriving back in Cardiff at a reasonable hour, dropped off at convenient locations (bus, train stations or motorway junction to get yourself home etc....likewise we can pick up people for the trip down at ), complimentary refeshments (all served by our 'hostess with the mostest' (Slappella).

The cost is dependent on the numbers who are coming with us. At current rates we should sell all of the tickets within a week! So we should have a cost per person of minibus travel there and back soon.....so don't book rail tickets before we can get a price for the cost of minibus/ people carrier hire sorted!

To be honest, by the time you add on taxi costs, time and cost of waiting around for trains in Plymouth and the hassle (remember last year) of cancelled and delayed trains, my prefered option is to drive there and back. Obviously, people can decide to travel

We think - obviously all dependent on numbers wanting to take this option - that we should be able to do the Cardiff-Portsmouth, Plymouth-Cardiff trip for around £40 per person, which, once you add up all the incidental costs associated with the train is probably much the same money as going by train.....plus it'll take less time and we don't spend hours waiting around in Plymouth and we get there and back at a reasonable time. Dependent on what's around, we could also leave in reasonable time to twitch anything interesting not too far off route on the way down?

Anyone interested in this option, say I.

Please note, anyone sexually harrassing Slapella on her refreshment round will be forced to stand next to Cliff for the entire trip.

Also of note, if anyone encounters Seymour whilst on board, please remember to salute/ curtsey/ bow. Please avoid direct eye contact and most importantly, and only if he instigates a conversation with you - on no account make the first move)- then you should first address him 'Your Majesty, Queen of Biscay, owner of a BMW, Countess of Barry, Sully and the Canton Stand.
During all subsequent conversations when addressing him remember it's "Ma'am" is proper for informal interaction. It is pronounced 'Mam' (definitely NOT 'Marm' - that would be a serious solecism).

Worth paying a few quid more. Definately worth considering.Ooooo

I forgot to point out the likely price of the 17:23 from Plymouth to Cardiff is currently £37. This drops to £11.50 for the 18:44. But you'll be hanging around in Plymouth for 2 hours waiting for it!

Sounds right and proper to me Randy, old bean.

Thanks Ma'am....you clearly qualify for special attention from Slapella. Name it, and it shall be yours.....impersonating CR may however be pushing her talents, although I do have it on good advice that they are roughly the same size? As Rupert described it, 'almost painless'.

PS One went to watch the city of cardiff play those east end ruffians this thursday past. It was like going to a pantomine, Snow Malcay and his 11 dwarves. Is there a height restriction to play for city?

You mean like Ben Turner at 6' 3", Mark Hudson at 6' 2" and Kenny Miller at 3' 5"? I'm afraid that a combination of the team not turning up in the first half and then one that wouldn't have scored in a brothel in the second half resulted in a very one-sided affair. Still, there's always tomorrow to redress the balance and, being a 'city fan and always the optimist, stranger things have happened....

They seem to be the same as when I used to watch them years ago - a nearly team.
At least they probably won't have to play the jacks next year.

...Thank you ma'am. I concur. One player I found particularly interesting was the No.13 for the city of Cardiff. Without a program I was unable to identify him. In the end I wrote to both BAFTA and the 'Academy' and nominated him for his performance. The obvious obstruction on the defender on the second goal was a disgrace, and the first goal was a tad lucky following a spiffing initial save from the Cardiff goal defender....let's hope that the 'buoys' can actually turn up tomorrow and play an excellent game of wendyball to win'.

as the Rolling Stones would sing "& its all over now", such a shame but I think the Ammers will be too tough on home ground, better luck next term - what s new ??
