To within 10ft would have been nice, but do me a favour, please don't criticise someone when you were not there, we sat there, quietly (unlike a number of birders who made more noise than the London symphony orchestra at the last night of the prom) and the bird approached us - not the birders, who by the way did try and get closer even though they had scopes!

slaphead i ain't having a go at you just stating there is absolutely nothing wrong with the shots ie you don't need to get any closer.Infact i think they are very good photo's.
