Gull-billed tern:Loughor

Few record shots from Wed evening in company with "Smudger" and "Pedro",lousy light,no colour, everything in black and white............
Thanks to Mark Hipkin for arranging access through the new railway bridge construction site, unfortunately the bird was not as cooperative as Carillion and didn't ever come close.

Jeff, Brace's Bread. Works every time, just look at my seal shot below.

Well done Jeff

Bugger,I knew there was something I had forgotten in my rush to get there after work, having said that I'd have needed an Exocet missile to launch the bread to where the bird was feeding !!

No Jeff, you've got it all wrong. Alex makes a very small hole in a slice of bread then puts his chippolata through it. Why do you think there's a smile on the poor seal's face?

Randal,I'll do anything to get a good photo but if I stuck my "implement" through a round of Brace's best white sliced I'd probably attract a Short-toed Eagle (I wish on both counts !!)
Lol

Reminds me of the Upland plover on Scillies which was hand fed on worms.

Apologies for triple whammee. Not used to touch pad.

The bread may have brought in the gulls, which the tern may have followed. Especially a ragworm sandwich!
Rule 1 in photography...always be one step ahead of the twat next to you!

Rule 2 in photography....flush the poor little bastard before the twat arrives.
