Just one more sleep......I'm so excited!!!

As a boy everyone has there heroes...Lauren Fignon was one of mine (behind him are Bernard Hinault and Pedro Delgardo, not sure who the bloke on the far right is, but if you're going up a climb with those three you must be a hero).

I've decided to ride a stage of the race (I'm injured at the moment, so...) on my roller in tribute to their efforts. I was thinking about Blagnac > Brive-la-Gaillarde at 222.5km, then I though again and decided to do the Leige Prologue (6.4km). Wish me luck!!

I'd prefer the bikes covered in Lycra

Seymour, this is the hardest sport in the world. Lycra is the least of your worries.

Laurent'The Professor' Fignon leads out Hinault, followed by Pedro Delgardo. He won that year (1983), his first ever 'tour'. What a hero.

Nice touch when Bradley Wiggins met the press yesterday: 'oh fuck!'. Why would anyone want to see, listen or talk to a rider who is listed as a possible Tour winner? 'T was a tad naive from Brad, n'est-ce pas?

May be we should start a Llynfi Valley Tour de Rizla? Everyone gets given a bike, first one to the Job Centre wins a quarter? We'll kick the anti-doping lobby into touch and just assume everyone is positive......the first ever bicycle race where there's a level playing field (guaranteed).
