Newport Wetlands

Buff-breasted Sandpiper (juv) still present at least until 2.30 p.m. on the island viewable from the platform beyond the first hide. It flew off out towards the sea wall twice in the hour before but returned each time. Also present Spot Redshank (4+), Golden Plover (2), Greenshank (2+), Curlew Sand (juv), Hobby (1), and lots of Knot and Blackwits.
