I thought it was another "Snowdrop conundrum/rant" but he assures me he only uses the 132 bus ! clearly does nt know wot he s missing !!

Rant? I think you'll find it's carefully constructed prose.

And for the record, not guilty (again!).

Must admit I had Randal down as guilty!

Never mind that, have you heard the news what was in a private garden on Portland on Monday?

Slaphead said...

not the number 53 bus and a songbird?

.....and a Partridge in a pear tree ? (must be that time of year again)

We should have a poll, is Ms.Gallamore a spoof? (answer either yes or yes). Lefts be honest, how many dudes can age gulls? yet in his/her/its posts he/she/it blabbs on about 'gulls overhead' (unidentified) and then proceeds to age his/her/its herring gulls!! all very entertaining and to put the icing on the cake, the Snipe takes a huge great bite out of said bait...nice one JDW.

Snipey here. No no biting. It's just me being my usual awfully nice self :-) Rather than just deleting and prompting a poss rant from Ms Gallamore I thought I'd try & reason. She seems like an lcouch clone - who has gone quiet recently thank god.
Re Portland garden it was a Pale-legged Leaf Wblr [aka Sakhalin Leaf-wblr]. They were hoping to trap and release into an accessible area but it buggered off.

I read a loads of birding blogs/tweets/facebook/threads/comments/etc online and some of them are a good laugh, however, none of them come close to the madness of some of the posts on the sites down this way.... That 'munchy the budgie' post is fucking classic - I proper PSM'd!! Spoof, or non- spoof, its classic. Always a pleasure to see 'the moderator' take the bait either way - your just 'too' nice snipe!

As for the suppression on Portland - shit happens. They can't tick it as they didn't ID in the 'field'. Shame though...

Birds seen from moving Buses.. Now that would be an interesting thread.... on second thoughts

Ideal for us old duffers with a bus pass. Pale-legged Leaf warbler is a bit of a skulker like Dusky or Raddes.

It's been done before.....who could ever forget the one about the Black Grouse, South Pembrokeshire and a speeding bus?

Anyway, here's a tune for all those birders taking the 'magic' Cardiff Bird Bus around town.

caught the no. 26 Blackwood to Cardiff in Tongwynlais at 11 55 today - er, oh S**t, forgot to look out the window ! an amazing coincidence I saw my first Waxwing from the top deck of a no. 26 Killamarsh to Sheffield bus on Boxing day 1965 at precisely the same time - WOW !!

Slaphead said...

I smoked my first fag on the number 24 bus,I promptly threw up on said bus.

Saw a SEO from the bus to Aberthaw, over the Airport.

numerous redwings from my van on the M4 heading East.

tiger said...

was the van heading east or were the Redwings going back home, on a "need-to-know" basis ??
