Lavernock Point
Visit from 11.40 to 15.00 produced light vis mig into the easterly breeze, best in overcast conditions early on, including Mistle Thrush (5), Sky Lark (17), Swallow (22), House Martin (3), plus a few Chaffinches, Meadow Pipits and Starlings. Other birds present in the fields and hedgerows around the reserve, church yard and coastal path were Lesser Redpoll (2), Long-tailed Tit (15), Coal Tit (1), Chiffchaff (1), Wood Pigeon (100+), Stock Dove (3), Jackdaw (c.600). Hard work for small rewards!
