Mynachdy Farm, Ynysybwl

This afternoon a single brambling emerged from the chaffinch flock (thanks to a hunting male merlin across the field) feeding in a stubble field above Mynachdy Farm at Old Ynysybwl. Small numbers of redwing (15) were also present in the field.

Earlier, a red kite was watched drifting over farmland to the south of Efail Isaf.
