What kind of effect would these have if I ate them?

Anyone know what they are - they live on rotting alder.

how about "Sulphur Tuft", common all year round in Deciduous woods, think I ve got it in Coed-y-Bedw at mo

Sulphur Tuft it is then - only one death partly attributable so leave well alone!
