The jay seems to be hiding the brown innermost tertials which I,ve noticed on them in my garden.

Jay is nice !
When this blog started we wanted to be proud of the photo's posted. Seem it's going down hill since they moved those Kingfisher sticks closer!

That is nt the problem Steve, The facilities were never designed primarilly for Toggers & first in there get the best positions, as I found y day when I had the corner spot trying to balance the camera in neither a comfortable seating or standing position. Illustrated on other sites are 2 pin-sharp shots, taken from the best positions, and with superior equipment to that of mine, by people who dont use our blog - all for now !!

Sorry Cliff, didn`t intend to offend.
If you insist day after day going to Foggy Farm then why the hell don`t you move the perch closer! or wouldn`t that make any difference because its TOO LOUD IN THERE!!

OK cliff here is what we are going to do. I will loan you a 500mm lens and a (superior)Nikon body, use it for a few days and I will bet my bottom dollar that the quality of your shots will improve with a better lens than the Unigate 300mm thing you insist on using mate. Give it a try,you can't go wrong.

I only answered one aspect of your comments. the other one is that, in only wanting perfect shots you are putting off some who may like to contribute & therefore feel unable to do so. I only uploaded mine for the interest/humourous aspect albeit knowing it was nt sharp

on the contrary cliff, you bought a dogs bollocks camera body in the hope of improving your shots by being able to crop tighter with its better resolution, yet everyone else said you would be better off with better glass as I recall it mate. Its up to you if you do or do not want to take the offer up.No charge, rent gratis,no sweat.

you re much too kind Slap, you dont know wot you re letting yourself in for !

You guys are more interested in lenses than in birds !

The quality of photos on Flikr are superior to those on here - possibly due to the advanced use of photoshop and the host site reproduction.
Nice Jay I must say - not keen on the fishers.

tiger said...

I did explain the only reason I put the fishers on, also why the better the quality of those on flkr, if the image aint sharp in the first place then nothing photoshop can do about it - agreed ?

Slaphead said...

agreed.

tiger said...

never thought you were a "yes" man Slap !

Slaphead said...

yes

but I do agree with you,if it ain't sharp in the first place,it matters not what you do with it PP,its still not going to be sharp.
