bad luck again Rob - should have gone on to Slimbridge, the Bittern performed well from Zeiss hide until flew off west at 13 00
That was my plan Cliff,nail the owl before 9.00am then up for the Bittern.Should have gone to Slimbridge instead! Have you changed your lens? Nice photos.

Mitch, did you get them on the ground? I have to see a job in St Arvans near Chepstow in the next few days so I may give them a go.
I didn't Steve,they would disappear out on the marsh and return to the treetops at regular intervals.
