Out and About

Cardiff Bay - The Arctic Tern was viewable from the Ice Rink Car Park early afternoon along with hundreds of Swallows and Sand Martins & the odd House Martin. The Lesser Scaup was still on the reserve this evening. 2 Common Sandpipers just up from the river bridge. Heliport Bay - A nice group of 50+ small waders included Turnstone, Ringed Plover and Dunlin. An Arctic Tern spent 10 minutes feeding close inshore (the Bay bird ?) before disappearing. Also a small group of Common Scoter off shore. Migrants at Lamby Lake/Heliport included Chiff Chaff, Willow Warbler, Blackcap & Whitethroat.
