You've clearly never done a Puffin census (hand down burrow, wait for beak to attach to finger...yep that burrow's occupied)or handled a Puffin....I'd rather death with one bite than death from a thousand razor sharp talon and beak cuts anyday.

So far I have been bitten buy only a few avian species Penguin and Raven are memorable - Oh and my Uncle's African Grey Parrot - that really hurt.
The best one I ever saw was a ringer in Israel put his hand in the bag and withdrew it in agony with a Shrike having bitten him to the bone! Shrikes 1 Israel 0
