Sweden

Got back last weekend from a great week in in the Black River Valley area not too far from Stockholm with PB & MM. Highlights included plenty of Owls, Long-eared, Short-eared, Pygmy, Tengmalm's, Ural and Eagle, but unfortunately not Great Grey! Other good birds included fab views of Three-toed Woodpecker, Black Woodpecker, Whooper Swan, Black-throated Diver, Red-necked Grebe, Slavonian Grebe, Bean Goose, Velvet Scoter, Icterine Warbler, Red-breasted Flycatcher, Rosefinch, Caspian Tern, White-tailed Eagle, Honey Buzzard, Black Grouse, Hazel Hen & Parrot Crossbill. A little jaunt a further north also gave us Great Snipe (have you recovered yet Matt ?) and Siberian Jay.
