A Tern-up for the books

After 30 years of twitching and 5 previous near misses, today finally saw me add Caspian Tern to my British List - hoorah! I harboured a secret desire to actually find one for myself but I gratefully accepted this opportunity. Thanks to both Alex and Phil for making the occasion less of an isolated one and for the proverbial back-slapping that followed. Only a few more needed now for the magical 500....

I can see a race coming on here ;-) Yes, a very welcome get back for you. Of course, under the UK400 club rules, you must be close to 800 by now ??

Caspian Tern was a matter of time! Nice one Judd!

They all come to those who wait... that's what they told the guy who missed the Suffolk Macqueen's Bustard in 1962. Interestingly, the bird was seen at a place called Hinton in Suffolk. A somewhat uncanny place name ? Perhaps you want to get down the Vale Hide tomorrow ?

Indeed Al; hasn't it been for a long time though?! All good fun nonetheless...
