Cardiff Bay

The Lesser Scaup was back in front of the ice rink car park this evening. A monster gull roost, presumably they didn't fancy the sea tonight, contained 3 Yellow-legged Gulls. As Nigel below, the Little Stint was still present on the Cardiff Bay International Wetland Puddle.

Cardiff Bay International Wetland Puddle is in fact a SSSI, SPA, SAC and Ramsar site.

However highly protected by law this makes the CBIWP, the fact that its governance lies within the boundaries of Cardiff City Council probably explains current proposals to build a tidal barrage across it; followed by a yacht club, along its shores and 30,000 luxury flats/ slums of the future.
