Burry Holm

The Thayer's Gull and Yank Herring Gull were seen again today on the dropping tide. Looking very windy tomorrow and very exposed. Yesterday the Thayer's appeared just as the tide was dropping amongst a small group of Herring Gulls sitting on the newly exposed rocks on the Holm.  Later on some of the gulls moved to the beach and the Thayer's joined them. Here's a nice link to some Thayer's pics.

Also, thousands of Scoter although most a long way off. Odd sight of the day was a Manx Shearwater flying down the beach through the surf!

So with Ross's, Ivory, Laughing, Franklin's, shed loads of Bonaparte's and Ring-billed,  and a Glaucous-winged Gull that managed to fly through twice without being noticed Glamorgan is sort of ok for Gulls if nothing else!
