Sightings

Cosmeston - A brief walk between the to lakes this morning was uneventful. There were about 40 Tufted Duck, some Gadwall and usual Great Grebes, but other than that very quiet. A Common Gull was with the Black Heads by the entrance, and a funny lookalike YLG, that is probably a retarded sub-adult Herring.

Bay - A quick walk from the ice-rink to the flyover, had the Black-necked Grebe still by the bridge.

Why "retarded" Matt? Was it behaving like Slap'?

Ah that's not fair... the poor gull hasn't had much of a life, bless it!
