Black-throated Diver

Half expected it to disappear as soon as the first sailing boats appeared but it didn't seem that bothered just sticking to the west side of East Lake. Also ad Yellow-legged Gull & Kingfisher but no Sand Martins yet. Sunday morning will bring Canoes, Model Boats and more Divers (deep sea as opposed to Black-throated).

Nice shot Alex. Yep, world and his wife was there this afternoon. First sign of sunny day, lots of lilly white folk in shorts...you can't beat Cossie on a hot day! Think I might retire to the TWI for a pint tomorrow afternoon to watch some egg chasing at Twickers!

Still there this morning initially on the East lake,it then went fishing in the West lake and back onto the East again,it ended up off the cafe when I left at 09:30. Glad I dad as the grockell (mainly ones with 'street cred' too, which made for some interesting viewing) numbers were steadily climbing.

Showing very well today and seemed well enough. 1st W Little Gull still in Cardiff Bay, presumably the one previously photographed. No sign of Black Redstart but lots of people about. Bonapartes Gull was reported later but I did not see it.
