Still present and showing down to a few feet this afternoon. Although seemingly showing no obvious outwards signs of suffering ill-health, several other observers I bumped into today commented that thiss bird hadn't dived, so presumably hadn't fed, the whole time they had watched it.

saw it early before work, it had dived a few times but spent the remaining 30 mins while I was there preening.
I returned about 1pm and it came in closer.
I felt te bird was not in its best health, never seen a BTD as easy to photograph as this one, coming reasonably close despite the Pop Festival atmosphere though certainly not a few feet!!

Perhaps it sunk! Definitely a few feet this afternoon, didn't need bins from the causeway between the two lakes, even dudes enjoying it.
