Black Redstarts

8 days ago a male and female Black Redstart were discovered and it appeared to be looking good for a breeding record!
They were in and out of an old wall and the female disappeared for long periods while the male perched up. It was thought that she could be nest building or even sitting on eggs.
The following day they again were present and again in the very same  place.
This morning there was no sign of either bird but perhaps mid week a further check can be made.
For obvious reasons the location is to be with-held!
As a breeding species in Glamorgan there have only been a handful of records of this Schedule 1  breeding bird.
