Hendre Lake

Walking around this morning I was surprised to see a tiny wader emerge from the grass. My first thought was Common Sand but it was tiny and showed a lot of white in flight. I could not see exactly where it had come down but about 100 metres further round it went up again and I could then see the amount of white in the tail. It came down in the long grass alongside the reen leading west towards Cardiff and I did not try to flush it again.
