2nd July The Sparrowhawk is back

Sparrowhawk hunting at the Sand martin colony, he came in from the sun for the kill and took one from nest entrance it was all over in a matter of seconds, sad to witness but i expect the sparrowhawk has young to feed as well, it took some time for the sand martin to come back to feed there young and i noticed they were taking no chances and flying straight into the nest holes.
