Great white egret @ CBWR yesterday.
Many thanks to Ben Salter for sending us this shot of a great white egret at Cardiff Bay.
Very interesting. I think I saw two great egrets in the estuary at Kidwelli in Carmarthenshire last week (end of July 2014). I didn't know what they were at first and I thought they might be spoonbills but they were too far away for me to see their beaks properly. They were feeding in the mud.
