Curlew Sandpiper : Portobello,Ogmore

Made a mad dash down to Ogmore after work and with only about 45 mins of usable light left managed to find one of the birds which performed nicely, then flew off and came back about 5 mins later with it's three mates, well worth the effort..........

Shame we missed eachother Cliff,I arrived just after 6.00pm and walked about 400m down river from the house and they were nowhere to be seen.
As I walked back up there was one feeding on the Vale side which was about 6.15pm which I photographed for about half an hour,it then flew off but about 5mins later flew back to the Vale side with the other three Curlew Sands and a juv Dunlin, just got lucky !!😊
