Lavernock

No sign of Wood Lark by 12.00. Steady vis mig, mainly Swallows, House Martins, Meadow Pipits, Pied/White Wagtails, Chaffinches. Highlights were Great White Egret (low over wood lark stubble field at 10.25 heading north-west), Merlin and 8 Golden Plovers.

I am not surprised you didn't see the Woodlark if you are spending all your time looking in the sky for Egrets !!
