Lanius type Shrike.
apparently a Shrike was photographed at RGW today.
Has anyone seen photos Or any other info?
Yes Steve, didn't see the bird myself, arrived too late. Though reported as Lesser Grey the images taken by the lucky finder show Great Grey, a fantastic find either way.
I was of the same opinion when I saw the photos briefly. In fact the finder called it as a GGS - I suspect he may not even have heard of a LGS - he's a very good photographer but he is not well versed in the rarity 'scene'. Somehow this sighting has become 'enhanced'.
