Black Stork:Mynydd Ty Talwyn,Llangynwyd

Few record photos of the Black Stork seen in flight over Mynydd Ty Talwyn,Llangynwyd,Maesteg by Paul Tabor and myself this morning.

Paul first spotted the stork and then got me on to the bird and I managed a few record shots.

The bird circled a few times but was always 1/4 mile or so distant so the photos are heavy crops.

The last photo shows the bird going down and we believed at the time that it had landed over the crest of the hill out of sight.

Despite a search of the surrounding area including nearby Parc Slip NR the bird had not been relocated when I headed for home at about 2.30pm,hopefully it is still in the area and will be refound by someone.
