Skomer Island : Sat 4.June 2011

"Pedro" and myself went to Skomer today only to be told on arrival by the guy taking the money at the car park entrance that he'd been told 20mins earlier that there wouldn't be any crossings today as the conditions were too rough.

We did however get on the first 1 hr "cruise" around the island (the only one to run-they were cancelled after that) and had to be satisfied with trying to photograph the birds from the boat and a couple of hours on Wooltack Point.
