On site this morning 8 common sands 2 greenshank that was the good news the sad news is  the police are practicing a firearm drill with blanks  and dummy explosive devices right in the middle of a breeding sch one  area  for the next  seven weeks  I informed the officer in charge but it still went on I doubt the Lapwing chicks will last a week. Can you imagine this happening anywhere else  no waders left after this
