Rumney Great Wharf

Adrian, the ringer from Gwent, had his nets set up this morning near the hide. He caught a number of Meadow Pipits of which there was a steady passage- at least 200 whilst I was there. All were apparently juveniles of British origin. Passage otherwise consisted of Skylarks, Pied & Grey Wagtails, Linnets plus a few Siskins. Whitethroat and Blackcap still present in the hedgerow.

Did not hear of the Bobolink in time to go but at least not a tick. Nice bird though no doubt.
