When it flew in I never took a shot hoping it would come to perch near to me, which it did. Still too far I very slowly edged closer, after moving carefully forward just a few inches to a foot (knowing every inch is a bonus) after moving about 30 ft in about 45 mins - hour. Off came the converter, the light improved for about a few minutes. The Owl even seemed to doze off! Well worth getting wet and freezing toes and cramp and...

Steve was set up 200 yds away,i saw the Owl fly in and drop right in front of him ( Jammy Bugger),i had naff all!
